Welcome to the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Greater Rochester: serving Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, Wayne, and parts of Orleans, Seneca, and Yates counties since 1957.
The Funeral Consumers Alliance of Greater Rochester, Inc. (FCAGR) is a nonprofit, nonsectarian association of consumers, dedicated to informing its members and the general public about funeral practices in New York. Members share the belief that simple and affordable funeral and memorial arrangements can best be achieved by careful planning. The Alliance, founded in 1957 as the Rochester Memorial Society, is one of more than 100 similar societies affiliated with the Funeral Consumers Alliance, Inc.
IF you believe...
that money spent on elaborate funerals could be spent more wisely.
IF you prefer...
a funeral that is simple, dignified and reasonably priced.
IF you agree...
that it is better to make plans in advance and put them in writing.
IF you wish...
to spare your family and friends from making the difficult decisions that must be made at the time of your death.
THEN...
you will want to be a knowledgeable consumer and become a member of the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Greater Rochester.
If you have ever purchased life insurance or made a will, you've already faced the fact that you will, one day, die. Out of consideration for your family you have designated how your earthly goods are to be disposed of. The FCAGR urges you to take the next step and designate how your body is to be disposed of when you die.
