Welcome to the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Greater Rochester: serving Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, Wayne, and parts of Orleans, Seneca, and Yates counties since 1957.
The Funeral Consumers Alliance of Greater Rochester, Inc. (FCAGR) is a nonprofit, nonsectarian association of consumers, dedicated to informing its members and the general public about funeral practices in New York. Members share the belief that simple and affordable funeral and memorial arrangements can best be achieved by careful planning. The Alliance, founded in 1957 as the Rochester Memorial Society, is one of more than 100 similar societies affiliated with the Funeral Consumers Alliance, Inc.

If you have ever purchased life insurance or made a will, you've already faced the fact that you will, one day, die. Out of consideration for your family you have designated how your earthly goods are to be disposed of. The FCAGR urges you to take the next step and designate how your body is to be disposed of when you die.

As a new member of the Alliance you will receive a packet of information explaining the various options available to our members including:
• Information on funeral planning from a consumer's point of view.
• Forms to fill out that provide your survivors with specific instructions about the type of funeral you prefer.
• A list of cooperating funeral homes and the prices each charge to provide final arrangements for Alliance members.

• An annual newsletter about FCAGR activities and related topics.
• An invitation to the annual business meeting of Alliance, which includes election of officers, and speakers or panels discussing subjects of general interest to our members.
